What kind of fans can be selected in the field of glass processing?

In the field of glass processing, the selection of fans should be combined with the core requirements of specific processing links (such as smoke and dust removal, high-temperature heat dissipation, gas transportation, negative pressure adsorption, etc.), and at the same time match the special working conditions of glass processing (such as high temperature, corrosive gas, high dust concentration, avoiding glass surface pollution, etc.). The following are fan types and selection points corresponding to different processing scenarios, which are classified according to application scenarios:

1. Glass melting/annealing link: high temperature and corrosion resistant fan.

In the process of glass melting (tank kiln, crucible kiln) and annealing (eliminating internal stress), high-temperature flue gas (300-1200℃) and acid gas (such as SO and NOx, which come from fuel combustion or decomposition of glass raw materials) will be produced, and accompanied by dust (unmelted quartz sand and soda ash particles), so it is necessary to choose the fan type with temperature resistance and corrosion resistance.

Matters needing attention in the adaptation scenario of core advantages of fan type

High-temperature centrifugal fan 1. It can withstand the high temperature of 300-800℃ (some special models can reach 1200℃);

2. Impeller and casing are mostly made of heat-resistant steel (such as 310S, Cr25Ni20) or high-temperature paint to resist high-temperature oxidation;

3. The centrifugal structure has high wind pressure and is suitable for long-distance transportation of high-temperature flue gas. 1. Smoke emission from glass tank kiln;

2. The high-temperature waste gas of annealing furnace is led out;

3. Auxiliary combustion-supporting air transportation in the melting process (the combustion-supporting air at normal temperature needs to be preheated, and the fan needs to withstand the temperature after preheating). 1. Supporting cooling system (such as bearing water cooling/air cooling) is needed to prevent bearing from failure due to high temperature;

2. Flue gas needs to be simply dedusted (such as cyclone separator) to avoid dust from wearing the impeller.

Anti-corrosion centrifugal fan 1. The casing and impeller are made of FRP or rubber lining, which is resistant to acid gas corrosion;

2. Good sealing performance, avoiding corrosive gas leakage to pollute the environment. 1. Waste gas treatment of annealing furnace containing acid gas;

2. Acidic waste gas emission after pickling of glass surface (such as pretreatment before coating). 1. Avoid long-term use in an over-temperature environment (the temperature resistance of FRP materials is usually ≤150℃, and the working temperature needs to be confirmed);

2. It is forbidden to transport gas containing hard particles to prevent the rubber lining from being worn.

Second, glass cutting/edging/sandblasting: dust removal and pollution prevention fan.

In the process of glass cutting (cutting, trimming), edging (double-sided grinding, bevel grinding) and sandblasting (surface etching), a large amount of glass dust (fine particle size and easy to float, which will affect the subsequent coating/printing quality if it adheres to the glass surface) will be produced. The core requirement is "high efficiency dust removal+avoiding secondary pollution of dust", so it is necessary to choose a fan with strong negative pressure dust absorption ability and easy cleaning.

Matters needing attention in the adaptation scenario of core advantages of fan type

Pulse bag dust removal fan (including fan+dust collector) 1. It has pulse dust removal function: the filter bag can automatically clean the attached glass dust, avoid blockage and maintain high suction continuously;

2. The dust removal efficiency is over 99%, and the dust concentration can be controlled below 10 mg/m, which meets the requirements of environmental protection;

3. Negative pressure operation, which can directly connect the dust suction port of the cutting/edging machine through the pipeline to collect dust in real time. 1. Dust collection of glass cutting line and edger;

2. Dust treatment of glass sandblasting (dry method);

3. Centralized dust removal system in glass deep processing workshop. 1. The filter bag should be made of antistatic material (glass dust is easy to generate static electricity, so as to avoid igniting the dust by static electricity);

2. Check the tightness of the filter bag regularly, and replace it in time after it is damaged to prevent dust leakage.

High pressure centrifugal fan (with cyclone separator) 1. The wind pressure is high (1500-3000Pa), which is suitable for local dust removal of single equipment (such as small edger);

2. Large particles of glass slag can be separated by cyclone separator to reduce the wear of fan impeller. 1. Single-machine dust removal in small glass processing plants;

2. Dust collection after glass drilling (the dust particles produced by drilling are coarse). 1. It is necessary to regularly clean up the accumulated slag in the cyclone separator to prevent blockage;

2. Not suitable for collecting fine dust (easy to penetrate cyclone separator, leading to fan wear).

3. Glass coating/insulating glass processing: low noise and clean fan.

Glass coating (such as Low-E coating, solar control coating) and insulating glass laminating have extremely high environmental requirements-it is necessary to avoid dust and oil pollution on the glass surface, and the noise of equipment operation needs to be low (to prevent the operation of precision instruments from being affected), so it is necessary to choose a "clean+low noise" fan.

Matters needing attention in the adaptation scenario of core advantages of fan type

Centrifugal fan without volute (clean type) 1. Simple structure, no dead angle of dust accumulation (smooth casing, not easy to attach dust), which can meet the requirements of clean workshop;

2. Low noise (≤70dB), suitable for noise-sensitive scenes such as coating workshops;

3. The wind pressure is stable, which can be used for conveying the cooling air of the coating machine (such as cooling the coating roller). 1. Ventilation in the glass coating workshop;

2. Clean air transportation in the insulating glass laminating room (to prevent dust from falling into the insulating glass cavity);

3. The coating machine is equipped with cooling system. 1. The high efficiency air filter (HEPA) should be installed at the inlet of the fan to avoid the entry of external dust;

2. Clean the casing and impeller regularly to prevent oil pollution (such as bearing grease leakage) from polluting the air.

Axial flow fan (anti-corrosion and clean type) 1. Small size, convenient installation, suitable for local ventilation in workshop (such as heat dissipation at the top of coating machine);

2. The blade is made of stainless steel, which is resistant to slight corrosion (to avoid the corrosion of trace chemical gas in the coating process). 1. Local heat dissipation of insulating glass gluing machine;

2. Auxiliary ventilation in the coating workshop (used in conjunction with the main dust removal system). 1. It is not suitable for high wind pressure scene (the wind pressure of axial flow fan is low, so it cannot be transported for a long distance);

2. The installation shall be sealed to prevent external dust from entering through the installation gap.

Four, the general selection core principles

Priority matching of working condition parameters: determine the fan type according to "air volume (m/h), wind pressure (Pa), medium temperature (℃) and medium composition (whether it contains dust/corrosion)", so as to avoid "big horse-drawn car" (excessive wind pressure leads to energy waste) or "small horse-drawn cart" (insufficient wind pressure cannot meet the demand).

Considering both environmental protection and safety: For scenes involving high temperature and dust, fans that meet the national environmental protection standards (such as GB 16297 Comprehensive Emission Standard for Air Pollutants) must be selected, and explosion-proof devices (such as explosion-proof valves when the dust concentration exceeds the standard) should be provided to prevent dust explosion.

Consider the convenience of maintenance: there is a lot of dust in the glass processing workshop, and the fan needs to be easily disassembled and cleaned (such as openable casing and replaceable filter bag) to reduce the downtime and maintenance time.
